A clear or white coating applied by brush, roller or spray. It is water-based to achieve Class
0 and Class 1 protection (2 applications at 12-15m² per litre are required). Coverage on the
first coat could vary according to the density and type of timber. UV protection is available.
U S E
On bamboo, chipboard, decorative laminates, furniture, plywood, MDF, melamine, timber, etc.
It can be coloured to match other paints and varnishes. It can be applied over varnishes and
over water-based stains (such as Sikkens), which may need Envirograf® Product 42 adhesion
primer (see data sheet). Water-based or spirit-based top coat can be applied over ES/VFR.
P E R F O R M A N C E
VFR coatings have had numerous tests on many surfaces and over coated surfaces to meet
BS476 Part 6 (1989) Spread of Flame and BS476 Part 7 (1989) Spread of Flame, & EN tests.
