Product Description

FS709 HP is a high-expansion, pressure-exerting graphite intumescent sealant engineered to restore the fire resistance of compartment walls and floors penetrated by various services. Upon exposure to fire, FS709 expands to close off penetrations, delivering robust fire protection. It is compatible with flexible walls and rigid walls (100 mm or thicker), rigid floors (150 mm or thicker), and FB750 Intubatt Coated Batts.

Usage and Purpose

FS709 HP is specifically designed to seal gaps and service penetrations in compartment walls and floors, providing up to 4 hours of fire resistance. This innovative sealant eliminates the need for pipe closers or wrap systems by effectively sealing combustible pipe penetrations in the event of a fire.

FS709 has been tested and approved for use with:

  • Combustible pipes up to 125 mm in diameter, including ABS, PE, PP, HDPE, PVC, and PEX.
  • Insulated non-combustible pipes up to 160 mm in diameter with insulation types such as nitrile rubber, glass fibre, or rock fibre (up to 60 mm insulation thickness).
  • Cables, both individual and grouped, as well as cable trays, ladders, and baskets up to 500 mm, and cable bundles up to 100 mm.

This product is suitable for dry internal conditions. For applications in high-humidity or other challenging environments, consult the Technical Team.
