Speak to our experts

  • Is intumescent paint waterproof?
Intumescent paint isn't waterproof. In fact, paints which are suitable for external application require additional topcoat to protect them from the elements. Otherwise, it will get damaged and not perform properly. Two coats of F4X topcoat - applied at 60 g/m2 per coat - should be applied to AL20X to increase its lifespan and protect it.
