120:30 FireHalt Fire Barrier

The 120:30 Cavity Fire Barrier is a lightweight and multi-layered symmetrical design which can be cut with scissors or knives. It is easy to fit and comes with fully illustrated instructions.

This barrier has been independently certified, tested and is coated with a non-toxic, high temperature finish. Flexible and durable with no respirable fibres, the Fire Cavity Barrier is coated with a food-safe and non-corrosive weavelock treatment and fire-resistant additive.

It is designed for roof cavities and concealed spaces and can act as a higher specification cavity barrier or a fire barrier which extends the fire rating of a compartment wall, situated directly below, up to the roof line or upper floor slab.

**The 120:30 Fire Barrier offers 120 minutes of integrity with 30 minutes of insulation. It has a lightweight design at 1.9kg/m2 and a thickness of 7mm. The Fire Barrier is 6.0m in length and 1.3m wide covering an area of 7.8m². The pack weight total is 14.8kg approximately.**

Fire Testing

The FireHalt Cavity Fire Barriers have been tested by Warringtonfire, a leader in fire safety testing services, and certified by LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board).

The testing was conducted in accordance with BS476 p20/22 and found the curtain to achieve 120 mins integrity and 30 mins insulation.

It has also been tested to BS 476 part 6: 1989 Class 0 (Fire propagation) and BS 476 part 7: 1987 Class 1 (surface spread of flame)

Installation Instructions

This barrier has been tested to be installed in the following applications:

• Horizontal application
• Movement joint application
• Pipe protection application
• Timber protection application

10mm staples and galvanised mild steel stud sections will be needed for installation. Please see the data sheet for more information.
