Intumescent Wood Filler by Envirograf

Envirograf’s Intumescent Wood Filler can be used to fill gaps and joints in wood, plus sight panels on wooden doors.

Furthermore it can be applied over fixing screws to enhance the appearance at the surface and prevent moisture ingress.

This product can withstand temperatures of up to 1000 degrees Celcius.

This product is water based and becomes touch dry in about 30 minutes, dependent on the thickness applied and the ambient conditions.

In its raw state it is light buff in colour, although water-based stains and emulsion paints can be applied over it to leave the surface a different colour.

Envirograf’s wood paints, including HW01 and ES/VFR White, can be used over this product. Once cured, we recommend rubbing down with a light abrasive paper, then applying a primer beforehand, such as HWAP primer.

Application instructions

Ensure that the substrate and the air temperature exceeds 5 degrees Celcius upon application.

We recommend wearing gloves when applying Envirograf’s Intumescent Wood Filler, despite the product being non-toxic.

Clean the area of all loose materials, dust, dirt, oil and any other contaminants.

Stir the intumescent wood filler well before use.

Apply the product with a putty knife or spatula/paint scraper when the area is clean and dry. If the hole is deep, apply in several coats allowing the layers to dry between applications.

If the product starts to shrink and crack on drying, reapply more wood filler. This may happen with larger applications.

If the intumescent wood filler makes contact with your eyes, flush thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

The product can be washed off skin with soap and water.

Clean any tools with water.
