ES/VFR White Fire Retardant Coating is a decorative base coat designed to offer a comprehensive solution for achieving spread of flame to timber substrates. Easily applied both externally and internally by brush, roller or spray. This system is designed to achieve a British Class O and Euroclass B rating to timber substrates thicker than 9mm. The advantages of this system are: A lasting solution for internal and external timber surfaces. Can be used over existing paint, varnish or waxed surfaces, as well as directly on untreated timber. Can be used on bamboo, chipboard, decorative laminates, furniture, plywood, MDF, melamine and more.

ES/VFR can be used both internally and externally. It requires a topcoat. We recommend the use of HW Ultra White top coat for internal use and HW EXCEL WHITE top coat for external work.

Application Rate 10m² per litre per coat:  1 litre will cover 5m²

Application of ES/VFR White:

ES/VFR White Fire Retardant Coating can be applied with a brush, roller or airless spray and has a theoretical coverage rate of 5m² per litre.

After applying the first coating, you must allow 2-6 hours before applying a second coat, drying times will be dependent upon temperature and humidity.

 

Technical Information of ES/VFR White:

This product has had numerous tests on many surfaces to meet BS476 Part 6 (1989) Spread of Flame and BS476 Part 7 (1989) Spread of Flame.

Complies with Classification B/S1/d0 of European Standard EN13501 Parts EN13823 (2002) single burn test (SBI) and EN11925-2 (2002) ignitability.

Not suitable for application on areas of high impact, such as floors, stairs and hot drinks tables.
